Ken shocks the family by advertising for a girlfriend on the Internet and putting his and Pauline's belongings into a tabletop sale, requiring drastic action by his sons to retrieve it. His children and their spouses make a last-ditch effort to reconcile their parents, but Pauline and Ken know better and agree to part as friends; she will go to Paris with Peter, and he will meet a lady called Joyce on the Internet. Scarlett has a successful university entrance interview, Rowan offering to contact her mother at a later stage, but Heather confides in her sisters-in-law that Ashley is her baby's father. Of course they tell their husbands and Charlie gets to find out, picking a fight with Ashley, which he loses; Heather ultimately chooses Ashley over her husband.
